Was This Face Truly Once Mine?

Relief, 10" x 14", 2025

Much of the sketching process involved adjusting posture and composition to make the younger Thor's intentions clearer. Much of his design is inspired by Esad Ribić’s interpretation of the character, which allowed for a much humbler visage. This contrast between the younger Thor's appearance versus his personality allowed the older Thor to be more distinct, as he embodies the complete inverse of his younger self.

The print required three colors. This was for clarity purposes, but also to represent the emotions conveyed in the scene. Two linoleum blocks were used. Four total colors were achieved this way, as seen in the examples. White was created using a bright paper, to symbolize lightning.
